Francis Cabrel is one of the most iconic French Singer Songwriters of the 20th Century. His unique tunes and lyrics have influenced many artists. He still is very popular today. I saw him perform years ago, in the 80s in Paris. It was at a venue called "Le Zenith" and I went to the show with my little brother. It was great. Since I've been in Portland, I rediscovered his songs. And as a singer songwriter, I've come to admire more and more his career and his craft.

After preparing a presentation about him for several Alliances françaises, I thought it would be fun to pay him tribute by recording some of his classic tunes. The album was recording in San Francisco, Portland and Paris.

I'm currently having issues with the online distributor I have been using for almost 20 years now. They have just been bought out and don't have any customer support anymore and didn't defend my case when Spotify unfairly took down one of my albums off their platform. So for now, I am only releasing this new album in a CD format and a music download format. It will not be available, at this point, on any streaming platforms.

Francis Cabrel est l’un des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes français les plus emblématiques du XXᵉ siècle. Ses mélodies et ses textes uniques ont influencé de nombreux artistes. Il reste aujourd’hui encore très populaire. Je l’ai vu en concert il y a des années, dans les années 80, à Paris. C’était dans une salle appelée « Le Zénith » et j’y suis allé avec mon petit frère. C’était génial. Depuis que je suis à Portland, j’ai redécouvert ses chansons. Et en tant qu’auteur-compositeur-interprète, j’en suis venu à admirer de plus en plus sa carrière et son art.

Après avoir préparé une présentation à son sujet pour plusieurs Alliances françaises, j’ai pensé qu’il serait amusant de lui rendre hommage en enregistrant quelques-unes de ses chansons emblématiques. L’album a été enregistré à San Francisco, Portland et Paris.

J’ai actuellement des problèmes avec le distributeur en ligne que j’utilise depuis presque 20 ans. Ils viennent d’être rachetés, n’ont plus aucun service client et n’ont pas défendu mon dossier lorsque Spotify a injustement retiré l’un de mes albums de leur plateforme. Pour l’instant, je sors donc ce nouvel album uniquement en format CD et en téléchargement. Il ne sera pas disponible, pour le moment, sur les plateformes de streaming.
